Books I read in 2019

So the year is winding down and I have been going through my read-list.

In December last year I made a bit of a list of books I wanted to get through in 2019. I did get through all of the Parasolverse-books on time with the read-along, so 2019 has been the year of re-reads.
It has also been the year of romance novels (again). I never read romance for years, and years but then I found my way back to them in 2017. They are often quick reads and romance today is not the same as it was in the 80’s and 90’s (thank God!)

In 2020 I will get to the Patrick Rothfuss, Scott Lynch, and Anne Bishop books.

I have 16 books left on my ”Acquired in 2019”-list that I still haven’t gotten to. In addition I have 14 on my ”Acquired in 2018”-list and let’s not talk about the state of our book cases from even further back.

It feels slightly overwhelming right now but I will do what I always do – I’ll read them one at a time and I will get through what I get through.

For 2019 I set a goal of reading 52 book. That is one book per week and given that I finished at 125 for the past two years it felt doable. I’m currently at 102 books and with a bit of downtime tomorrow – we are celebrating alone, just the four of us so there isn’t much pressure – I can *maybe* get through one more.

I’ll set my 2020 goal at 52 books as well and see what happens.

I am hoping to get back a bit to sewing in the new year. I have an online store for fabrics that I have been neglecting the past two years and I want to get that back on track as well.
I have a quilt I want to make my big child since the little one was gifted one of my larger quilt projects this fall and I want the big one to have something as well. We have plans but nothing is fixed yet.
