I have a never-empty list of pre-orders at my favourite book store (Kobo for e-books and SF-bokhandeln for physical books) and usually, there is a book released every other month from one or the other but at the moment I have four books that will all release in February. One of them on my birthday!
I’m equally excited for all of them. The only physical book will probably be spirited away by the 16 yo I live with as they have read the other three books in that series and loved them (as have I). I doubt I’ll get to read it until after they are done with it.
Saffron Alley is a highly anticipated book by one of my favourite authors from 2019. A.J. Demas wrote Something Human and it was just the loveliest book I have ever read.
Roan Parrish is another favourite. I have reviewed one of her books on my blog before. This is book 2 in a new series that promises 4 from what I have read. I read (and recapped) book 1 last year.
KJ Charles needs no introduction to people who have seen my yearly lists. I found my first KJ book in February 2017 and have read her entire backlog and all new books since. I have loved them all and reviewed several of them on the blog. This one is a procrastination book that KJ wrote because she couldn’t manage with the third book in the Will Darling series (due to Brexit/election/the general state of existence). Apparently, this is a thing of hers (I approve) as it has happened at least once before (Think of England came about when the third book in the Magpie-series was being bothersome). This one sounds absolutely delightful. I especially enjoy the title.
